Clio Grow Captures a Lead. Someone Still Has to Get It There.
Clio Grow is Clio's client intake product: custom intake forms, a lead-tracking pipeline, e-signature on engagement letters, and automated follow-up emails and texts, converting a signed lead into a Clio Manage matter with a single click. We connect the lead sources that don't run through Grow's own forms, a call tracking line, an ad platform, a referral network, so they create a Grow record automatically instead of getting typed in after the fact.
What Clio Grow actually handles
Grow runs intake as its own pipeline, separate from the case work happening in Clio Manage. Custom intake forms, embedded on a firm's website or sent out as a standalone link, collect the details a firm actually needs from a prospective client, and leads move through stages you define, new, contacted, qualified, signed, with built-in email and text templates firing automatically as a lead moves between them.
Once a lead signs an engagement letter through Grow's e-signature, converting it into a full matter in Clio Manage is a single action, carrying the intake data over instead of starting the case file from a blank record. For a firm running both products together, that's the one continuous path from first contact to open matter.
Where the pipeline still has a manual step built in
Grow's own forms capture a lead cleanly. The gap shows up for every lead that doesn't arrive through one of those forms: a phone call logged in a separate call-tracking tool, a lead ad on a social platform, a referral that comes in through an entirely different system. Someone still has to open Grow and create that lead record by hand before the pipeline and the follow-up templates can do anything with it.
That's a real cost at volume. A firm running paid ads or a call center alongside Grow ends up duplicating entry between whatever's capturing the lead first and Grow itself, which is exactly the kind of gap between two systems that stalls a lead before intake staff ever get to talk to the person.
What we build on top of Clio Grow
External leads landing in Grow automatically
A call tracking line, a lead ad platform, or a referral network creates the matching lead record in Grow the moment it comes in, with the available details already filled in, so intake staff start by reviewing a lead, not typing one up.
Pipeline stage changes reaching the systems leadership actually watches
When a lead moves through Grow's pipeline, that change can push straight into a reporting dashboard or a marketing platform, so conversion numbers stay current without someone pulling a manual export to check them.
Still re-typing leads into Grow from somewhere else?
Tell us where your leads actually come from before they reach Grow, and we'll scope whether that handoff can run on its own.
Running intake through Clio Grow but still keying leads in by hand?
Tell us every place a lead can come from before it reaches Grow, and we'll tell you what connecting those sources directly would look like. Intake is one example; we build the same kind of connection for whatever else in your firm still depends on someone retyping information between systems.
