Housecall Pro runs the job and takes the payment. What about everything around it?
Housecall Pro is field service management software for home service and trades businesses, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar work, covering scheduling, dispatching, invoicing, built-in payment processing, and customer communication tools like automated review requests. It's a genuinely full platform for day-to-day field operations. It gets thinner the moment Housecall Pro's data needs to reach a payroll system with its own commission rules, a second location's account, or a marketing tool tracking something Housecall Pro doesn't. We build the connections that get Housecall Pro's data where it needs to go, and pull outside data back in.
What We Build on Top of Housecall Pro
If your business runs payroll through Gusto, ADP, or a system with comp rules Housecall Pro's own payroll feature doesn't model, commission splits, piece-rate pay, multi-location overtime, we build the feed from completed jobs and technician hours into the payroll system you actually use.
Like most field service tools, a lot of franchises run a separate Housecall Pro account per location. We pull job and revenue data from each through the API into one combined view, instead of someone logging into every account and combining the numbers by hand.
Review requests and reputation data can route into whatever marketing or reporting tool actually tracks it, beyond what Housecall Pro's own automated review request feature sends out on its own.
Job and invoice data can feed a separate inventory or supplier system too, so the cost side of a job reflects what parts and materials actually went into it, not just what Housecall Pro's own line items capture.
A Real-World Scenario: Multi-Technician Plumbing Company
Eight technicians, Housecall Pro for jobs and invoicing, payroll run separately with a commission structure Housecall Pro doesn't model.
Before
Every two weeks, the office manager exports a job list from Housecall Pro, cross-references which jobs each technician completed, manually calculates commission using the company's actual split rules, and re-enters the totals into the payroll system by hand. A missed job on the export means a technician gets shorted on their check.
After
Completed jobs flow from Housecall Pro into the payroll system automatically, already matched to the right technician with commission calculated using the company's real rules. Payroll day becomes a review, not a two-hour reconciliation project.
Running Housecall Pro and still exporting job data to make payroll or reporting work?
Tell us what's not connecting automatically right now, payroll, another location, a marketing tool, anything. We'll check what the Housecall Pro API can realistically move. And if Housecall Pro isn't actually where the manual work is piling up, that's fine too, we automate whatever's manual in your business, not just the field service software.
