CosmoLex Keeps Your Trust Accounting Native. We Build What Uses That Data.
CosmoLex is cloud-based legal practice management software that builds full double-entry accounting, including trust accounting, directly into the platform, rather than leaning on a separate accounting product for that side of the books. We don't sell, implement, or configure CosmoLex. We build automation and integrations on top of it, so the accounting and matter data CosmoLex already keeps clean actually reaches the rest of your firm's systems.
What we build on top of CosmoLex
Because CosmoLex keeps trust accounting and general accounting inside the same platform as matter management, a firm running it already has cleaner source data than most. The gap is usually what happens to that data once it needs to go somewhere else.
Reporting outside CosmoLex. Pulling CosmoLex's accounting and matter data into a dashboard or report your partners actually look at regularly, instead of exporting and reassembling spreadsheets every month.
Trust-to-operating transfers, checked automatically. A disbursement or earned-fee transfer between trust and operating accounts gets flagged for review against the matter's own records before it posts, adding a check on top of CosmoLex's native trust ledger rather than replacing it.
Client and intake handoffs. New client or intake data captured somewhere else, a web form, a CRM, a referral source, creates the matter in CosmoLex automatically instead of someone re-typing the same client details a second time.
Document and email filing. Matching incoming documents and correspondence to the right matter in CosmoLex automatically, so filing isn't a manual step after every email.
What we've built on top of CosmoLex
A second check on trust transfers
Before an earned-fee transfer from trust to operating posts, it gets checked against the matter's own billing records, catching a mismatch before it becomes the kind of trust accounting error that shows up in an audit.
Intake that skips the re-typing
A new client fills out an intake form or comes in through a referral source, and the matter and contact record get created in CosmoLex directly, instead of a staff member transcribing the same details in by hand.
What's still leaving CosmoLex by spreadsheet or by hand?
Tell us what you're exporting, re-entering, or double-checking around CosmoLex, and we'll look at whether it's worth automating.
Running CosmoLex and still moving its data around by hand?
Tell us what leaves CosmoLex as a spreadsheet, a reporting pull, a client detail someone re-types. We'll look at what's actually worth connecting. And if CosmoLex isn't where the real friction is, that's fine too, we build on top of whatever your firm runs, not just this one platform.
