Zoho Books is great at accounting. It stops being great the moment data needs to leave it.

Zoho Books is solid cloud accounting software: invoicing, expense tracking, bank feeds, multi-currency, a built-in client portal. What it isn't built for is talking to whatever you run outside the Zoho ecosystem. If your CRM, your e-commerce store, or your ops tools aren't also Zoho products, someone on your team is the integration layer, and that's the work we take over.

Zoho's own apps talk to each other reasonably well. Zoho Books to Zoho CRM, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Expense: that's a solved problem, mostly. The gap shows up at the edges, when your business runs Salesforce instead of Zoho CRM, sells on Shopify instead of Zoho Commerce, or tracks jobs in a tool that has nothing to do with Zoho at all.

That's where the manual re-entry starts: copying an invoice total into another system, checking payment status in two places, exporting a report from Zoho Books because the dashboard everyone actually uses lives somewhere else.

What We Build on Top of Zoho Books

Connect it outside the Zoho ecosystem

Zoho Books syncing cleanly with whatever runs the rest of your business, even when none of it is a Zoho product.

  • ■Invoices generated in Zoho Books the moment an order closes in Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, or whatever CRM and storefront you actually run
  • ■Payment status from Zoho Books surfaced inside your CRM or support desk, so a rep or agent can answer "has this invoice been paid?" without logging into Zoho at all
  • ■Inventory counts kept in sync between Zoho Books/Inventory and your warehouse or 3PL system, instead of two numbers that quietly drift apart

Automate what Zoho's native workflows can't see

Zoho Flow and Deluge scripts cover a lot, but they stop at the edge of what Zoho knows about.

  • ■Expense approvals routed based on a project budget or job code that lives in a different system entirely, not just a fixed dollar threshold
  • ■Recurring invoices that adjust their line items based on usage data pulled from an outside system, instead of a flat template that's right until it isn't
  • ■Alerts in Slack or email the moment an invoice goes overdue, with the account's full context attached, not just a number in a Zoho Books report nobody's watching

Running Zoho Books and tired of being the glue between it and everything else?

Tell us what you're manually copying between Zoho Books and your other systems. We'll look at it and give you a straight answer on what's worth fixing. And if Zoho Books isn't actually where the time is going, that's fine too, we automate whatever's manual in your business, not just one accounting tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Zoho Books?+
Cloud accounting software from Zoho: invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, and basic inventory, with a client portal built in. It's part of the wider Zoho suite (CRM, Inventory, Expense, Payroll), and works best when the rest of your stack is also Zoho. We build the bridge when it isn't.
Is Zoho Books free?+
There's a free plan, but it's limited to a small number of invoices per month and one user, which is fine for a very early-stage business and tight the moment you're sending invoices regularly or have more than one person touching the books.
How much does Zoho Books cost?+
Paid plans scale with the number of users and features you need, from a basic Standard tier up through Professional and Premium with more automation, project tracking, and advanced reporting. Pricing is published on Zoho's site and changes periodically, so check there for current numbers rather than treating any figure here as current.
Zoho Books vs Xero: which is better?+
Xero has a larger third-party app ecosystem and a slight edge in bank integrations in some regions; Zoho Books is usually cheaper at the lower tiers and a stronger fit if you're already running other Zoho apps. Neither answer matters much once you've picked one. What matters is whether it connects to the rest of what you run, and if it doesn't out of the box, that's what we build.
Does Zoho Books have an API?+
Yes, a full REST API that covers invoices, contacts, items, and most of what you can do in the UI. That's exactly what we use to build the integrations above, pulling and pushing data between Zoho Books and whatever else your business runs.
