LiveAgent Reaches WhatsApp, Telegram, and Chatbots. How Deep Does Each Go?
Past its built-in email, chat, and call center channels, LiveAgent connects to WhatsApp and other messaging channels, runs on an open API for custom work, and supports chatbot integrations for automated first responses. Most of these connections are built to carry a conversation into LiveAgent's shared inbox, not to move your business data in both directions. We build the second half: pulling the account, order, or billing context that a WhatsApp message or chatbot reply actually needs, instead of leaving it as a channel with no memory of your other systems.
What LiveAgent connects to beyond its core channels
WhatsApp and other messaging integrations land conversations in the same shared inbox as email and chat, so an agent works every channel from one place. The connection carries the message; it doesn't carry anything about the customer beyond what LiveAgent already knows.
Chatbot integrations handle a first automated response before a conversation reaches an agent, useful for deflecting simple questions, but limited to whatever the bot's been configured to answer.
The open API underneath all of this is where custom work actually happens: creating tickets from an external trigger, pulling ticket data out for reporting, or building a channel LiveAgent doesn't offer natively.
None of these, on their own, connect LiveAgent to your CRM, accounting system, or order data. They move conversations in; getting business context to sit alongside them is a separate piece of work.
What We Build on Top of LiveAgent's Channels and API
WhatsApp messages that arrive with account context
A WhatsApp conversation shows the customer's order history and account standing next to it, pulled from your store or CRM, instead of landing as a bare message thread.
A chatbot that answers from real data
Instead of a scripted reply, the chatbot's first response checks your actual order or inventory system before answering a status question, only escalating to a human when it genuinely needs one.
Tickets created from outside triggers
An event in another system, a failed payment, a shipment delay, opens a LiveAgent ticket automatically through the API, instead of waiting for the customer to notice and reach out first.
Ticket data flowing into your own reporting
LiveAgent ticket and SLA data pulled out through the API on a schedule and combined with data from your other support channels, so one report covers all of it.
Running LiveAgent on WhatsApp, chat, or a chatbot and still missing the context behind it?
Tell us which channel feels the thinnest, the one where an agent or a bot answers without knowing what your other systems already know. We'll scope what it takes to connect it. And LiveAgent is just today's example, we build this same kind of connection for any tool left running on its own.
