Salesloft's Salesforce Integration Covers the Basics. Here's What It Doesn't.
Salesloft connects to Salesforce natively: calls, emails, and cadence activity log back to the lead, contact, or opportunity record, and a handful of standard fields sync in both directions out of the box. That native sync is real and it works. It's also built for the general case, not your sales process specifically. We build the custom field mapping, object logic, and triggers that make Salesloft and Salesforce actually reflect how your team sells.
What the native sync covers, and where it stops
Out of the box, Salesloft logs activity against the record in Salesforce: an email sent, a call logged with notes, a cadence step completed. It maps a handful of standard fields both ways so reps aren't duplicating basic data entry.
It stops being enough the moment your sales process needs something specific: a custom object that doesn't exist in Salesloft's default mapping, a field only your team uses to route leads, a cadence outcome that should update a pipeline status your Salesforce admin built for your process, not a generic one.
At that point, someone's either living with the gap, a rep manually updating the field the sync doesn't touch, or your Salesforce admin is maintaining a pile of workflow rules trying to patch around it. Both work until the day they quietly don't.
What We Build on Top of the Native Sync
Custom object and field mapping
Cadence outcomes, call dispositions, and reply data mapped to the specific custom objects and fields your Salesforce setup actually uses, not just the standard activity log.
Enrollment triggered from Salesforce, not a rep's memory
A lead hits a status, a score threshold, or a territory assignment in Salesforce, and gets enrolled in the right Salesloft cadence automatically, instead of a rep remembering to add them.
Pipeline-aware reporting
One Salesforce report or dashboard that shows cadence activity next to actual opportunity stage and closed revenue, so sales leadership can see whether a cadence worked without toggling between two tools.
Two-way status sync
A deal gets marked closed-lost in Salesforce, and the prospect is automatically pulled out of any active Salesloft cadence, instead of continuing to get emails from a rep who has no idea the deal is dead.
Running Salesloft and Salesforce side by side and still patching the gap by hand?
Tell us where the native sync falls short for your process, a field it doesn't touch, a status it doesn't understand, a report your VP keeps asking for that doesn't exist yet. We'll scope exactly what it takes to close it. And if the gap costing you time isn't between these two tools, that's fine too, we automate whatever's manual in your business.
