Shift4Shop Runs the Storefront. We Build What Happens After Checkout.
Shift4Shop (the platform formerly known as 3dcart) is a hosted e-commerce platform built by Shift4, the payments company, with its own payment processing baked in. It handles catalog, checkout, and payment well on its own. What it doesn't do is keep your accounting, inventory, and CRM in sync with what's happening in the store, that's where we come in.
What we build on top of Shift4Shop
Orders posting to your books automatically. A Shift4Shop order becomes an invoice in QuickBooks or your accounting software the moment it's placed, with tax and shipping mapped correctly, instead of someone keying it in from an export.
Inventory kept consistent. If you sell through Shift4Shop alongside a physical location, a marketplace, or another channel, we sync stock levels in both directions so nothing oversells.
Payment and order data routed where it's needed. Since Shift4Shop's checkout runs on Shift4's own payment processing, order and payment status are already in one place; we pipe that into your accounting and fulfillment systems so a payment event actually triggers the next step, instead of sitting in the Shift4Shop dashboard.
Customer data into your CRM. New customers and their order history sync automatically to whatever CRM or email platform your team actually works out of.
A before and after
Before
A Shift4Shop store where orders are exported and manually entered into accounting once a day, and a separate payment report gets cross-checked against orders by hand to make sure nothing's missing.
After
Orders and their payment status post to accounting automatically as they happen. Nobody's cross-checking two reports to catch a mismatch, because there's only one system of record and it updates itself.
Running a Shift4Shop store that still needs someone to shuttle data around?
Tell us what's manual right now, orders into your books, stock across channels, payment data that isn't reaching the rest of your systems, and we'll build the fix. And if Shift4Shop isn't where the real bottleneck is, that's fine too, we'll look at whatever is.
