Cin7's Shopify Connector Keeps One Store in Sync. More Than One Channel Is a Different Problem.
Cin7's native Shopify connector syncs inventory levels, pulls in new orders, and updates fulfillment status back to Shopify as orders ship, without anyone touching either system by hand. For a single Shopify store, that covers the common case well. Sell through Shopify plus a marketplace, a wholesale channel, or WooCommerce at the same time, and keeping all of them pointed at the same real stock number is where we come in.
What the native Cin7-Shopify connector handles
New Shopify orders flow into Cin7 as sales orders automatically, inventory levels update on the Shopify side as stock moves in Cin7, and shipment confirmation flows back to Shopify once an order's picked and packed. For a business selling through one Shopify store, that loop runs with very little manual attention.
Where it's built to stop is the edge of that one Shopify store. Cin7 doesn't know, on its own, that the same stock is also committed to an order sitting in another channel that isn't Shopify.
Where selling on more than one channel breaks it
Run a marketplace listing or a wholesale channel alongside Shopify, and the native connector only ever sees the Shopify side of the picture. An item can show available on Shopify because Cin7 hasn't yet heard about a sale that just happened somewhere else, and a customer checks out on stock that's already gone.
WooCommerce comes up for the same reason: it's a real, separate storefront a lot of Cin7 customers also run, and Cin7's own marketplace support for it is thinner than what Shopify gets. The fix is the same either way, whether the channel is a second Shopify-style platform or something less common: stock has to reconcile across every channel at once, not just the one with the native connector.
What we build on top of Cin7 and Shopify
Real cross-channel stock reconciliation
A sale on a marketplace or WooCommerce store decrements the same Cin7 stock number a Shopify sale would, in near real time, so neither channel oversells against inventory the other one already claimed.
One inventory truth, every storefront
Whatever channels sit alongside Shopify, Cin7 stays the single number every one of them checks against, instead of Shopify being the only channel Cin7's own connector actually keeps current.
Selling somewhere Cin7's Shopify connector doesn't reach?
A marketplace, WooCommerce, a wholesale channel, tell us what it is and we'll look at tying it into the same stock number Shopify already uses.
Running Shopify through Cin7 and still overselling on a channel the connector doesn't watch?
Tell us which other channel it is and how often the stock numbers disagree. If Shopify and Cin7 aren't actually where the friction is, that's fine too, we'll look at whatever manual step is costing you the most right now.
