Gorgias Handles One Shopify Store Cleanly. Running More Than One Is Where It Gets Messy.
Gorgias's Shopify integration pulls order, customer, and shipping data straight into every ticket and lets agents issue refunds or edit orders without leaving the helpdesk. For a single store, that's close to seamless. Connect more than one Shopify store to the same Gorgias account, and automation rules, saved notes, and AI Agent setup all start treating each store as its own separate world, even for the same customer.
What the integration handles well, including multi-store
Core order data, automatically. Order history, shipping status, and customer details pull into the ticket the moment it opens. Agents can trigger a Shopify refund or order edit from inside the ticket, with the result written back without a tab switch.
Multiple stores, technically supported. Gorgias doesn't limit how many Shopify stores you can connect, on any plan, so a brand running several storefronts can route every store's tickets into one shared inbox instead of running separate helpdesks.
Gorgias Automate uses the store's own data. The AI feature answers common order and policy questions using whatever Shopify already knows, without a human touching the ticket.
Where multiple stores start working against you
Automation rules that reference 'Shopify Customer' or 'Shopify Last Order' assume one customer belongs to one store. A customer who's ordered from two of your connected stores can make those conditions misfire, routing or tagging a ticket based on the wrong store's order history. Gorgias itself recommends treating each legal entity as its own account rather than running unrelated stores side by side for this exact reason.
Notes don't carry across store profiles either. A note an agent leaves on a customer's record in Store A doesn't follow them if they also have a profile in Store B, even inside the same Gorgias account, so context about the same person can quietly split in two.
And Gorgias Automate needs its own setup per connected store: one AI agent per store, not one agent that understands your whole multi-store catalog. A brand running three storefronts is really running three separate AI Agent configurations to keep current.
What we've built on top of Gorgias and Shopify
A multi-brand retailer ran several Shopify stores through one shared Gorgias inbox, and kept running into the same problem: a returning customer who'd ordered from two of the brands showed up as two disconnected records, so an automation rule built around 'last order' would grab whichever store's data happened to match first, sometimes the wrong one. Agents noticed it as tickets getting misrouted or missing context that should have been obvious.
We built a layer outside Gorgias that matches customer identity across all the connected stores first, then feeds the correct, combined order and note history back in as a single sidebar view, so the automation rules and the agents are working off one accurate picture of the customer instead of whichever store's profile Gorgias happened to load first.
Running more than one Shopify store through Gorgias and seeing notes or automations land on the wrong one?
Tell us how many stores you're running and where the mismatches actually show up, a note that didn't follow the customer, a rule that grabbed the wrong order. We'll look at unifying customer identity across them before it reaches your agents or your automation rules. If multi-store Shopify isn't your actual bottleneck, that's fine too; we'll look at what is.
