Jobber's Schedule Handles One Calendar Well. Multiple Crews Is a Different Problem.
Jobber's scheduling feature is a drag-and-drop calendar where you book, assign, and reschedule jobs to a crew member or team, with recurring job templates for routine work like lawn care visits or maintenance stops, synced live to the Jobber mobile app so crews see their day update in real time. It's a genuinely solid single calendar. It doesn't natively keep itself in sync with calendars that live outside Jobber.
How scheduling actually works in Jobber
Jobs show up on day, week, and map views, and a dispatcher drags a job onto a crew's slot to assign it, the same drag-and-drop pattern most field service calendars use. The map view shows where each crew currently sits relative to upcoming jobs, which helps with rough routing even though Jobber doesn't do full route optimization on its own.
Recurring jobs get set up once with a cadence, weekly, biweekly, monthly, and Jobber keeps generating the future visits automatically rather than someone rebuilding the same lawn care or maintenance visit from scratch every time it comes around. On some plans, clients can request or self-book appointments through the Jobber Client Hub too.
Where one calendar stops being enough
Subcontractors who run their own business and keep their own calendar in Google or Outlook don't naturally live inside Jobber's calendar. Jobber can push a schedule to an outside calendar, but it's a one-way push; a change the subcontractor makes on their own calendar doesn't flow back into Jobber automatically.
Recurring job cadences are set once and stay fixed until someone edits them, which is fine for a handful of clients but turns into a real editing project for a lawn care business that needs its whole route to shift cadence seasonally, weekly in peak season, biweekly the rest of the year, across hundreds of recurring jobs at once.
What we build on top of Jobber scheduling
Two-way calendar sync for subcontractors
A subcontractor's changes on their own Google or Outlook calendar flow back into Jobber automatically, instead of Jobber's schedule only pushing out in one direction and quietly going stale the moment the subcontractor reschedules something on their end.
Bulk seasonal cadence changes
When a route's cadence needs to shift for the season, weekly in summer, biweekly in spring and fall, we update every affected recurring job across your client list in one pass instead of someone editing each client's schedule by hand.
What's not syncing cleanly with Jobber's calendar right now?
Tell us where your schedule actually lives outside Jobber, and we'll look at what a real two-way sync would take.
Running Jobber and still manually keeping an outside calendar in sync?
Tell us which calendar doesn't update itself right now, a subcontractor's, a crew lead's, a seasonal route plan, anything. We'll look at what Jobber's API supports and build the sync properly. And if scheduling isn't the actual bottleneck, that's fine too, we automate whatever's manual in your business, not just this one calendar.
