Jobber Payments Collects the Money. Matching It to Your Books Is a Separate Job.
Jobber Payments is Jobber's built-in payment processing feature, letting a customer pay a quote deposit or invoice by card or bank transfer directly, with funds deposited to your bank account after Jobber deducts its processing fee. It genuinely removes the step of chasing a separate payment terminal or third-party checkout link. What it doesn't do is hand you a deposit that matches your invoice total exactly, or tell you which invoices made up a batched payout.
How Jobber Payments actually works
A customer can pay a quote deposit before work even starts, or pay an invoice through an online payment link once a job's done, by card or bank transfer. Jobber deducts its processing fee before the money lands in your account, so the deposit you see is always a little less than the invoice total, and the difference varies depending on card type and payment method.
Jobber often batches several payments into a single bank deposit rather than depositing each one separately, which is efficient for Jobber's side of things but means your bank statement shows one lump sum that could represent five, ten, or more individual invoices.
Where the deposit stops matching the invoice
Matching a batched deposit back to the specific invoices and fees that made it up is manual detective work if nobody's automated it: someone has to open Jobber, pull the payout report, and line it up against the bank statement by hand, every single payout cycle.
It gets worse if technicians earn commission on a job's revenue. Commission calculated on the gross invoice amount overpays relative to what actually landed in the bank once fees came out, and commission calculated on the net deposit needs that reconciliation to already be done correctly first.
What we build on top of Jobber Payments
Fee-aware deposit matching
Every bank deposit gets automatically matched back to the exact Jobber invoices and processing fees that made it up, so your books reflect reality without someone manually splitting a batched payout by hand every cycle.
Commission calculated off the real net deposit
Technician commission runs off the actual amount that landed in the bank after fees, not the gross invoice total, and feeds straight into payroll instead of someone recalculating it from a payout report.
Still manually matching Jobber deposits to invoices?

Reconciling Jobber Payments deposits by hand every cycle?
Tell us how your books currently handle the gap between what an invoice says and what actually lands in the bank. We'll check what Jobber's payout data exposes and build the match automatically. And if payments aren't your real pain point, that's fine too, we automate whatever reconciliation work is eating time in your business.
