monday CRM's API Covers the Data. We Build What Runs on It.
monday CRM exposes its boards, items, columns, and updates through a GraphQL API (monday API v2), the same API that reaches your contacts, deals, and pipeline stages when a sales board is built that way. It supports webhooks for real-time triggers and runs on a personal API token you generate from your account's developer settings, not a full OAuth setup unless you're publishing to monday's own marketplace. We use that API to build what monday CRM's native integrations don't: real-time triggers, bulk migrations, and field mapping built around your specific sales process instead of a generic one.
What the API actually gives you
monday's API is GraphQL, not REST, so every request names the exact fields and columns you want back instead of pulling a fixed payload. For a CRM board, that usually means items (your contacts or deals), the columns attached to them (status, owner, deal value, close date), and the updates logged against each one.
Authentication runs on a personal API token from your profile's Developer section. That's enough for most internal integration work; a full OAuth app only matters if you're building something for monday's public marketplace rather than your own stack.
Webhooks are real and they work. You can subscribe to a column value changing, a new item appearing, or a status update on a specific board, and monday pushes a notification to your endpoint the moment it happens, instead of you polling the API on a schedule to check whether anything changed.
A handful of things still aren't exposed through the API at all: some account-level admin settings, parts of legacy board configuration, and a few automation recipe types in monday's own automation center. When a client needs one of those handled anyway, we drive it through the browser the same way a person would, rather than waiting for monday to ship an endpoint for it.
What We Build With the monday CRM API
Real-time status pushes instead of a nightly sync
A webhook fires the moment a deal's status column changes, and the update lands in your accounting system or support desk within seconds, not whenever the next scheduled sync happens to run.
Bulk migration in or out
Moving thousands of contacts and deals from a legacy CRM into monday CRM boards, or the other direction, through the API instead of a manual CSV import that breaks on anything past the simplest field mapping.
Field mapping the native connectors skip
A custom field your sales team actually tracks, deal source, territory, renewal date, mapped and synced to the system that needs it, instead of settling for the handful of standard fields monday's prebuilt integrations cover.
Custom views through the apps framework
monday's apps framework lets a board surface something its default views can't: a rollup, a calculation, a layout built around your specific pipeline instead of a generic one.
Building something on top of monday CRM's API and hitting a wall?
Tell us what you're trying to pull out of monday CRM, or push into it, and where the native integrations or your own API calls stop short. We'll scope what it actually takes to close that gap. monday CRM is just today's example; the same offer covers any tool in your stack still waiting on someone to connect it by hand.
