Odoo's eCommerce App Sells Straight From Your Own Data. Other Marketplaces Don't Share It Automatically.
Odoo's eCommerce app lets a business build a storefront directly on top of its own inventory, pricing, and accounting data, so a sale on the website updates stock and triggers invoicing without a separate sync step. That one-database advantage is real, as long as the sale happens on Odoo's own site. The moment a business also sells on Amazon, eBay, or another marketplace, that advantage stops, since those platforms have no built-in path into Odoo's data on their own.
Where multi-channel selling breaks the one-database advantage
A sale made directly on an Odoo-built storefront updates inventory and triggers an invoice the same way any other Odoo sale does, since it's all one system. A sale made on Amazon or eBay happens entirely outside Odoo, which means someone has to get that order into Odoo to update stock and books, and get current inventory levels back out to the marketplace so it doesn't oversell.
The same gap shows up for a business migrating onto Odoo's storefront from an existing separate site. Running both in parallel during the transition, keeping products, prices, and orders consistent across the old site and the new one, isn't something either platform handles without a bridge built specifically for that migration window.
What We Build Around Odoo's eCommerce App
Marketplace orders and inventory that stay in sync
When a business sells on Amazon, eBay, or another marketplace alongside Odoo's own storefront, we build the sync that pulls orders into Odoo and pushes current stock levels back out, so neither side oversells or runs on stale numbers.
A bridge for the migration window, not just the end state
If you're moving from an existing site onto Odoo's own storefront in phases, we build the temporary sync that keeps products, pricing, and orders consistent across both while the migration is still underway, not just once it's finished.
Selling on more than just Odoo's own site?
Tell us which other channels you sell through, and we'll scope out what's buildable to keep them all in sync.
Running Odoo's own storefront but still manually syncing orders from another channel?
Tell us which marketplace or separate site needs to stay in sync with Odoo's inventory and orders. We'll look at what's realistic to build against Odoo's own API. And if eCommerce isn't the piece of the business actually costing you time, we automate whatever part is.
