ClickUp

ClickUp's Dashboards Are Flexible. They're Still Only Looking at ClickUp.

ClickUp dashboards combine widgets, burndown charts, velocity, time tracked, workload by assignee, into one customizable view pulled from your tasks and time entries. It's genuinely one of ClickUp's deeper native features. Every widget still only sees data that's already inside ClickUp, which is a real problem the moment the number leadership actually wants lives somewhere else.

What the dashboard widgets actually cover

ClickUp's widget library is broad: task status breakdowns, time tracked by person or project, burndown and velocity charts for sprint-based teams, and a calculated field widget for building your own formula off existing task data. Dashboards can pull from multiple Spaces and Lists at once, so a company-wide rollup is genuinely possible without leaving ClickUp.

The underlying task and time-tracking data behind every widget is also readable through ClickUp's API separately, so if you need those same numbers somewhere other than a dashboard, a scheduled report, an external BI tool, nothing stops you at the data level. What ClickUp doesn't expose is a single endpoint that hands back a dashboard exactly as it's configured and rendered; getting that specific view requires either rebuilding the same queries yourself or exporting it as a person would.

What We Build When a Dashboard Needs More Than ClickUp

A dashboard that includes the revenue number finance tracks

Margin, invoice status, or any figure that lives in your accounting system gets synced onto a custom field, so the dashboard your team checks every week isn't missing the half that actually drives the business.

A scheduled export that doesn't need someone to click it

A dashboard view that used to require logging in and exporting by hand now gets pulled and delivered wherever it needs to go, on schedule, without someone remembering to run it.

What number does leadership ask for that your ClickUp dashboard doesn't have?

If it lives in another system and never makes it onto a widget, that's a sync problem, not a dashboard limitation.

ClickUp dashboard looking solid but still missing the number leadership actually asks for?

Tell us which figure, margin, invoice status, revenue, never makes it onto a widget. We'll figure out how to land it there without anyone copying it over by hand. Dashboards are one example; n-frames closes this same gap wherever a number is stuck in a system your reporting can't see.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a ClickUp dashboard combine data from multiple Spaces?+
Yes. A widget can pull and roll up data across multiple Spaces and Lists at once, which is how most teams build a company-wide dashboard without leaving ClickUp.
Can I export a ClickUp dashboard?+
Individual widgets and the underlying task data can be exported, but there's no single native export that captures the whole dashboard exactly as it's visually arranged and configured.
What's a calculated field widget in ClickUp?+
A widget that lets you build your own formula off existing task data, say a cost-per-hour figure derived from time tracked and a rate field, rather than relying only on ClickUp's prebuilt chart types.
Can I pull ClickUp task and time data into an external reporting tool?+
Yes, since the underlying data is accessible through ClickUp's API, it's genuinely possible to feed it into a separate BI tool or combine it with data from other systems rather than relying only on native dashboard widgets.
Does ClickUp have real-time reporting?+
Dashboard widgets update close to real time as task and time data changes, which covers most day-to-day visibility needs well. Anything requiring data from outside ClickUp still needs that data synced in first.
