Close CRM Integrations: What Actually Connects
Close connects to the outside world through a REST API, webhooks, and Zapier, plus a short list of native calling, email, and calendar integrations. It doesn't have a native connection to accounting, inventory, or project tools of any kind. Here's what's real, and where that leaves a business that needs more.
What actually connects to Close right now
Close's own integrations focus on the calling-and-messaging side of the job it's built for: calendar sync, a handful of telephony and email providers, and a connection for importing leads from a previous CRM. Beyond that short native list, Zapier covers simple trigger-based automations (a new lead creates a task somewhere else), and the REST API plus webhooks are the real foundation for anything more specific.
What isn't there, by design, is any native link to accounting software, inventory, or project management. Close was built to get a rep on the phone faster, not to manage what happens after a deal closes, so that handoff was never part of its own integration list.
Where a Zapier connection stops being enough
Zapier handles the simple case well: a lead comes in, a task gets created elsewhere. It doesn't hold up once logic gets conditional, once volume climbs, or once a workflow needs to check something in another system before deciding what to do next, checking whether an account's current on its invoices before a rep calls, for instance. At that point the API and webhooks are the right layer: Close fires a webhook on a real event, and a direct integration decides what happens next across both systems.
There's also real, if still early, search interest in AI-specific capability around Close, both what Close itself offers and what can be built around its call and lead data. That's a newer frontier than the accounting-handoff gap, but it's a real signal that teams are starting to ask the question, not just about connecting Close to another app, but about what can be automated around the calls and leads it already holds.
What we build on top of Close
The deal-closed handoff, automated
A deal marked Won in Close triggers an invoice in your accounting system and a new customer record elsewhere, through the API, instead of a rep manually starting that process after they hang up.
Context pulled into Close before the call
Payment or account status pulled in from your billing system onto the lead record, so a rep knows before dialing whether an account is current, something no native Close integration provides on its own.
What's still manual after a Close call ends?
Tell us what happens right after a deal closes or a call wraps, and we'll look at what's worth automating.
Running your sales team on Close and still handling the handoff by hand?
Tell us what Close can't natively reach right now, your accounting system, your billing data, your ops tools, and we'll look at what the API and webhooks can actually do about it. Close is one example of this gap; we build the same kind of bridge for whatever CRM or sales tool your team runs.
