Pipedrive Integrations: What Actually Connects, and What Doesn't
Pipedrive's Marketplace lists prebuilt connectors for Gmail and Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Slack, Zendesk, Zapier, Asana, and a long tail of other tools, each covering a defined slice of what those two systems can share. Most of them cover the obvious case well and stop well short of what a specific business actually needs. Here's the real landscape.
What the native connectors actually do
The Gmail and Google Workspace integration is genuinely native, not a marketplace add-on: email syncs two-way, so a rep sees the full thread on a deal without leaving Pipedrive. Mailchimp's connector syncs contacts and lets you trigger campaigns off deal activity, and Zendesk's pulls ticket context onto the deal. Slack, Asana, and Zapier each cover a specific, narrow job (a notification, a task, a no-code trigger) rather than a full data sync.
QuickBooks shows up too, through a marketplace app rather than anything native, usually handling basic invoice creation off a won deal. None of these connectors were built for your specific field mappings, your approval steps, or the handful of custom fields that actually drive your sales process; they're built for the common case across every Pipedrive customer, which is a different thing.
Where the gap actually shows up
The gap isn't usually "nothing connects." It's that the prebuilt connector syncs contacts but not the custom field that determines pricing, or creates an invoice but not with the right line items, or notifies Slack but doesn't tell support what actually changed on the account. At that point you're not missing an integration, you're missing the specific logic a generic marketplace app was never going to have.
That's also where a non-API feature sometimes matters more than it sounds: if a tool on the other end of the integration doesn't expose something through its own API, we build against the interface directly with headless browser automation instead of waiting for an official endpoint that may never ship.
What we build on top of Pipedrive's integration layer
Field-accurate syncs
When a prebuilt connector moves the basics but drops the custom field that actually drives pricing, approval, or routing, we build the direct API integration that carries it across correctly.
One handoff instead of five apps
A deal closing in Pipedrive can create the invoice, notify the right Slack channel, kick off onboarding, and update a non-Zoho support tool in one sequence, instead of five separate marketplace connectors that don't talk to each other.
Which Pipedrive connector is almost right, but not quite?
Tell us what it syncs and what it's missing, and we'll look at whether the gap is worth closing with a custom build.
Running a Pipedrive Marketplace app that covers most of what you need, but not all of it?
Tell us where the prebuilt connector stops and your actual process keeps going. We'll look at what it would take to build that last piece directly against Pipedrive's API, and the same goes for any other tool in your stack with the same kind of gap, not just this one.
