Freshdesk's Analytics Tells You About Tickets. Not About the Business Those Tickets Sit Inside.
Freshdesk's built-in Analytics (full self-service reporting on higher plan tiers, a lighter version below that) covers ticket volume, response and resolution time, agent performance, and CSAT, with custom report builders and scheduled exports. It only ever reports on Freshdesk's own data. The moment a real business question needs support numbers sitting next to order volume, revenue, or churn, someone's exporting a CSV and pasting it into a spreadsheet by hand.
What Freshdesk's own reporting actually covers
The built-in reports cover ticket counts by status, type, and priority, first-response and resolution time against SLA targets, agent-level workload and performance, and customer satisfaction scores from post-resolution surveys. Custom reports let you build your own view with filters and grouping on top of that, and higher plans let you schedule a report to export automatically on a recurring basis.
Exporting is straightforward too, a CSV download from most report views, or the scheduled export mentioned above. What that export gives you is a snapshot of Freshdesk's own data at that moment, nothing more. It has no knowledge of what a ticket's related order was worth, whether that customer is current on their invoice, or how support volume for an account tracks against their contract size.
Where the manual export habit starts
Most teams solve the "support numbers next to business numbers" problem the same way: export Freshdesk's report, export the other system's numbers, and combine them in a spreadsheet, usually weekly, usually by the same person. It works until the business grows past the point where one person has time to rebuild it every week, and the numbers everyone's looking at are already a few days stale by the time the spreadsheet's done.
What we build on top of Freshdesk reporting
One dashboard, both sides of the business
Ticket volume and resolution time from Freshdesk sit next to order volume, revenue, or account tier from your other systems in one combined view, no weekly spreadsheet rebuild required.
Numbers that update themselves
A scheduled export plus a connection to your BI tool or a lightweight dashboard means the combined view updates on its own, instead of depending on someone remembering to paste in new numbers.
What report are you still assembling by hand every week?
Tell us which numbers from Freshdesk and which numbers from somewhere else end up in the same spreadsheet right now, and we'll scope what it would take to make it automatic.
Still exporting a Freshdesk report and pasting it into a spreadsheet every week?
That habit usually means the real report someone wants doesn't exist inside any single system. Tell us what the finished combined view should actually show, and we'll build the connection that keeps it current. Freshdesk reporting is one example of this, we do the same thing for whatever manual export is eating someone's Monday morning.
