Magento B2B: What's Actually Built In, and What Still Needs Connecting

Magento's B2B module gives a storefront company accounts, shared catalogs, negotiated price lists, quote requests, and requisition lists for wholesale buying. It ships natively with Adobe Commerce. Magento Open Source doesn't include it out of the box, which is why a lot of Open Source stores run a third-party extension instead to get similar functionality.

What the B2B module actually includes

Company accounts. A single business account can hold multiple buyer logins under it, each with its own role and spending permissions, so a purchasing team shares one account relationship instead of everyone checking out as an individual customer.

Shared catalogs and negotiated pricing. A specific company can be assigned its own catalog view and price list, showing only the products and the rates you've actually agreed to with that account rather than your standard retail pricing.

Quote requests (RFQ). A buyer can request a custom quote on a cart instead of checking out directly, letting your sales team negotiate price or terms before the order becomes final.

Requisition lists and approval workflows. Buyers can save a recurring list of products for fast reordering, and larger company accounts can require a purchase to be approved by a designated approver before it's placed.

Where B2B data gets stuck inside the storefront

All of that account, pricing, and quote data lives inside Magento. Your sales team's CRM usually has no idea a wholesale account even exists unless someone logs into the Magento admin to check. A rep can't see a customer's negotiated pricing or outstanding quote from inside the CRM they actually work in day to day.

The same gap shows up on the finance side. A negotiated price list exists in Magento, but your accounting or ERP system still needs that same rate to invoice correctly, and a quote that gets approved on the storefront doesn't automatically become an order with matching terms in your books.

What we've built on top of Magento's B2B features

Company accounts visible in the CRM your sales team uses

A wholesale account's negotiated pricing and order history from Magento shows up directly in the CRM record your sales team already works in, so a rep doesn't need a separate admin login to answer a basic question.

Quotes and negotiated pricing that match what gets invoiced

When a quote gets approved in Magento, the resulting order carries the same pricing and terms into your accounting or ERP system, instead of someone manually re-entering the agreed rate when the invoice goes out.

Tell us what your sales or finance team can't see without logging into Magento directly. We'll look at what its API can expose for that.

Running wholesale accounts in Magento that your CRM or books never see?

If a company account's pricing or a quote's terms only exist inside Magento, that's a gap worth closing before it causes a billing mismatch. Tell us what your sales or finance team is missing and we'll look at what's realistic to connect. Magento's B2B features are one example of this; we build the same kind of connection for whatever part of your business still runs on a separate login nobody else can see into.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Magento B2B the same as Adobe Commerce B2B?+
They're the same module. It ships included with Adobe Commerce. Magento Open Source doesn't come with it, so an Open Source store typically adds a third-party extension to get similar company-account and wholesale-pricing features instead.
Does Magento Open Source have B2B features?+
Not the official B2B module, no. That ships with Adobe Commerce only. Open Source stores that need company accounts, negotiated pricing, or quote requests generally rely on a third-party extension built to approximate the same functionality.
What is a requisition list in Magento?+
It's a saved list of products a buyer can reorder quickly without rebuilding their cart from scratch each time, useful for wholesale accounts that order the same set of items on a recurring basis.
Can Magento's B2B quotes sync to my CRM or accounting system?+
Not automatically out of the box. That data lives inside Magento unless something, a custom integration built against Magento's API, connects it to wherever your sales team and finance team actually work.
