Adyen for Platforms Splits the Payout. We Build the Part Each Seller Actually Sees.
Adyen for Platforms is Adyen's product for marketplaces and platform businesses that need to onboard multiple sellers or sub-merchants, split a single transaction's funds between them, and handle payouts and the compliance work underneath, without the platform having to become its own payment facilitator from scratch. We build what sits on top once onboarding and splitting are live: statements each seller can actually read, payout reconciliation across however many of them you have, and the reporting that ties it back to your own books.
What Adyen for Platforms actually handles
Onboarding (collecting and verifying identity information for each sub-merchant or seller), defining the split rules for each transaction, whatever your fee or commission model actually is, and scheduling and sending the resulting payouts, plus the regulatory load that comes with moving money to a third party on the platform's behalf.
Where platforms still end up doing manual work
Adyen's own reporting is built around the platform account as a whole, not formatted for handing a clean, individual statement to each seller. When a seller's verification stalls on a missing document or a failed check, someone on the platform's side usually has to notice and follow up, since that status often isn't surfaced anywhere a non-technical person is looking.
Where a status detail like that isn't exposed cleanly through the API, we'll pull it directly from Adyen's own dashboard instead of leaving it as a thing someone has to remember to check manually.
What this looks like built
Seller statements, generated automatically
A seller's split of each transaction, the fees taken out, and the payout date get assembled into a statement they can read on their own, instead of asking the platform's support team to explain a number.
Stuck onboarding gets flagged, not discovered
When a seller's verification stalls, someone gets notified with enough detail to actually help them finish it, instead of the seller wondering why their payouts haven't started.
Running a marketplace model on Adyen and still explaining payouts to sellers by hand?
Tell us where the manual explaining happens most, onboarding, payout timing, fee breakdowns, and we'll see what's worth fixing first.
Running Adyen for Platforms and still the one explaining payouts to sellers?
Splitting the payment is Adyen's job. Making the split make sense to the person on the other end of it usually isn't built unless someone builds it. Tell us what that looks like day to day, and if it's not payouts causing the friction, that's fine too; we automate whatever's actually manual.
