A freelance shopify developer and an agency can write the same code. What's different is what happens after it ships: who's around when it breaks, who owns the outcome if the first approach doesn't work, and what you're actually paying for.
Custom Shopify work means Liquid theme development, checkout extensibility, and building or modifying apps against Shopify's API, past what a pre-built theme or app from the Shopify App Store covers. It's a different skill set than general web development, since Shopify's platform has its own templating language and constraints.
We build the same way regardless of language or role: you tell us what's actually slowing you down, we tell you what's realistic, and we stay around after it ships.
A freelancer who takes another contract, gets sick, or stops responding leaves you with a storefront nobody else understands well enough to safely change during a sale or a busy season. An agency has more than one person who can pick it back up.
A freelancer is usually paid for the hours or the spec. We're accountable for whether the result actually solves the problem it was built for.
A free, no-obligation quote means you can compare our price and plan against a freelancer's before committing to either.
If what you need is a small theme tweak, a freelancer might be the faster, cheaper call, and we'll tell you that honestly. Most Shopify work that comes to us involves connecting the store to inventory, accounting, or fulfillment systems, which is where a team that doesn't vanish matters.
Tell us what you need built. We'll give you a real, no-obligation quote, so you can compare it against hiring a freelancer yourself.

Tell us what it is. If it's genuinely small, a freelancer might be the right call, and we'll say so. Most of what comes to us is bigger than that.
Yes. Tell us what you need built, we'll tell you what it takes and what it costs. You decide from there, whether that's us, a freelancer, or someone else.
